Our Summer of Revival at the Promised Land continues tomorrow at 9am. It looks like there might be some sprinkles tomorrow morning and some cloudy skies. That will not stop up us from worshipping together and praising God. Now the last time we had a chance of rain it turned out to be one of the most beautiful mornings we have had at the Promised Land. So no matter what we will be there to worship, Joe Coleman will be there to lead our time of singing, and we learn more about what it means to be the church. We can safely fit with social distancing at least 60 people (we fit 180 people in the pavilion during the Concert on the Hill) under the pavilion. We will allow vehicles to come up closer to the pavilion and the front spots will be for those staying in their vehicles that can listen on 95.7FM. On a positive note the temperature is supposed to be cooler tomorrow and even if it doesn't sprinkle there is supposed to be clouds so shade will not be an issue(;
As I have stated before, the early church and churches that are in countries hostile to Christianity today have gathered in much worse conditions. BUT if you wish to stay home we provide ways for you to connect with your Tom's Creek church family.
You can join us on Facebook and that will allow you to chat with others. You can leave prayer requests and in some ways be able to connect with your church family. We will try to start Facebook Livestream about 5 minutes before the service so expect to be able to join in at about 8:55am on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/tomscreekumc/.
You can can also use a phone to listen our service by calling 857-799-9465 from any phone starting at 8:55 am.
If you miss the live service you can always go to our website in the afternoon to see the Scripture and sermon for the day on our website at: https://www.tomscreekumc.com/service-videos. You can also find previous sermons from this summer that you might have missed at that same link. This choice is not as interactive as the other choices but at least allows you to keep up with the sermon series.
The table with the offering box and bulletins will be under the pavilion tomorrow just in case it starts to sprinkle. Please remember to wear a mask while you are mulling around and not socially distant. On the table with bulletins, we have masks available in packs of 5 and you can take a full 5 pack with you if you need them. In Maryland, the law right now is that masks must be worn outside if you are closer than 6ft (the length of a cow) of other people not in your household.
Let us join together to praise God and to be revived!!
