Christmas Eve is fast approaching. Our Director of Music Ministries, Holly, has been in quarantine for COVID since last Friday and up until early this morning, had no symptoms at all. She started to have symptoms early this morning but some of what she was experiencing is not part of COVID. She could have a stomach bug or the flu that is going around. That being said, unless she starts feeling 100% better AND has a negative COVID test, she will not be able to lead the music on Christmas Eve. I have had 2 at home COVID tests that were negative and a negative PCR test so I thank you for your prayers!

After realizing we will likely not have Holly to lead the music on Christmas Eve, I reached out to Christine Botker. She is very talented and she has sung for us many times and was leading the choir before COVID hit. She will be able to be with us on Christmas Eve to help direct and to sing!! Today we had our 3 amazing vocalists for the 5 and 7pm services practice with Carol Hipp playing piano so they had a chance to practice together. The practice was amazing and gave me chills, it was so good, and we haven’t even added the other instrumentalists!! We still have a pianist, a cellist, and violist coming on Christmas Eve to play and accompany our singers at 5 and 7pm. Joe Coleman will have amazing songs that he will sing at our 11pm communion service. God is good and has been helping this all come together even as COVID has tried to thwart us!! So here is the rundown of the services and what to expect.

At this point both the 5 and 7pm services will have the exact same music and layout of the service. The 5pm and 11pm services will be masks HIGHLY recommended. The 7pm service will be masks required. We are having different masking policies so that we are meeting the needs of everyone and because normally there is lower attendance at 5 and 11pm which means there will be room to spread out. We will also be live-streaming the 7pm service for any who can not come for any reason!!

We are hoping that we are providing a way for everyone to be able to worship on Christmas Eve. Please continue to pray for all that are part of the service to stay healthy. Please continue to pray for Holly and her household as they deal with COVID and a mixture of bugs floating around. Please let others know that our church is open and that they can worship with us on Christmas Eve, either in the building or online!!

Christmas blessings,

PH

At Tom's Creek we truly believe in journeying together in life.  That means there are times in our lives where we need help, support, prayer, and guidance.  While we try to cultivate an environment where we journey and pray with and for each other, we know there are times where we don't want everyone to know what is going on in our lives but still want help.

Pastor Mike is available to provide help and can be contacted at
