This Sunday as part of worship we will be celebrating Fathering!! Yes, we will celebrate the Father's who are loving and raising their own children. Yes, we will celebrate the many men who don't have their own biological children but mentor and teach children as they are growing up. We will celebrate all types of Fathers tomorrow and will have gift for every man who comes to church. Actually there will be 2 gifts, one practical and one yummy. Every man gets to pick the color of their choice of a Tom's Creek pen. Also they will get to choose one pack of M&M's, and yes there are choices plain, peanut, peanut butter, or caramel!! These will be on the table in the parlor area so make sure you get them! We will be looking at relationships tomorrow and how the Devil tries to tear us apart and get us to fight with those close to us.
Holly, our Director of Music Ministry, is on vacation but we still have some great music planned. Joe Coleman will be leading some music during both services and at 8am we will have the choir upfront leading us in the hymns!! I know it will be worth the journey to join us in church.
Attached is the bulletin for this week. We are no longer going to require people to sign in BUT the greeters and the bulletins will continue to be in the parlor after you pass the second doorway. We are not yet passing offering plates so the wooden boxes are available to put your offering in. Of course those at home can give online, use text to give, or mail in the offering to church. In addition, we will be collecting prayers in the prayer box on the table in the parlor. Also, if you have announcement that need to be shared please write them down and give them to me before the service. This will be an ongoing practice for prayers and announcements to help ensure that they are heard and understood by all.
Please invite people to join us! We have more than enough pens and M&M's so invite all types of Father's to join us. Let us come together and celebrate the gifts God has given us. Let us come together and lift our voice in praise to the One who loves us! Come journey with us this Sunday!
