We are the Body of Christ

May God's glorious presence be manifest in your life this day. Things are still moving fast at Tom's Creek. We have some fixes in store for some of the glitches we experienced with the FM channel last week. I was the writer for the Pastor's Desk column in the Emittsburg Journal here is the link and the article is on page 12 http://www.emmitsburg.com/assets/july-20.pdf. This months newsletter is out and it can be found our new webpage: https://www.tomscreekumc.com/newsletters. Oh, and if you log in and signup on the new webpage you can access an electronic version of our directory!!

This Sunday is 4th of July weekend and I love our country BUT I also believe our highest respect should always be given to the heavenly kingdom. So you can wear some red, white, and blue (I have an American Flag gaiter mask I will be wearing) and we will start worship with "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" but our focus will be on being the best citizens of God's Holy Kingdom. We will also be singing " I Surrender All", "We Fall Down", "Create in Me A Clean Heart", "Take my Life and Let It Be"! It is also a Communion Sunday and we will be having amazing bread that will be individually packaged and available at the tables before we begin just like our last outside Communion. That leads me to us making sure we are staying connected. If you can't join us at the Promised Land but know you are going to be watching with us on Facebook Live and you would like some yummy bread, let me know and I will get try to get you some bread. If you would like communion bread that was consecrated during the service brought to you after the service let me know. In both cases, the quicker you let me know the better. May God's peace be comforting to your soul,

Pastor Heath
